Professor Huabin Xing won The SCEJ Award for Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer 2020
Recently, ZJU Chemical Engineering Professor Huabin Xing, recommended by Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China(CIESC), won The SCEJ Award for Outstanding Asian Research and Engineer in 2020. Professor Huabin Xing was invited to give an award lecture at the 86th Annual Meeting of SCEJ in March, 2021.
The Outstanding Asian Research and Engineer Award was established by the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan (SCEJ). Due to reward the scientific and technological talents who play an outstanding role in chemical engineering, SCEJ elects these chemical scientific and technological workers with outstanding cognition, views and achievements in the Asian region for every year. Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China(CIESC), representing the Chinese mainland Chemical Engineering Association, recommends 1 candidates annually to the award. Since 2011, eight candidates recommended by the SIESC have won this honor, including Professor Liqun Zhang of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (2011), Professor Chao Yang of Institute of Process Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2012), Professor Haijia Su of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (2014), Professor Ning Yang of Institute of Process Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2015), and Jinlong Gong of Tianjin University Professor Jianrong Li of Beijing University of Technology (2018), researcher Yongsheng Han of Institute of Process Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2019), Professor Huabin Xing of Zhejiang University (2020).
Huabin Xing, as a distinguished professor of Zhejiang University, doctoral advisor and national outstanding youth, he is also the dean of College of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Zhejiang University( ZJU CBE). He is mainly engaged in the research and teaching of separation materials and processes, separation of low-carbon hydrocarbons and drugs, etc. He has published more than 160 SCI papers in Science, SCI. Adv, JACS, Angelw. Chem. Int. ed, AIChE J, chem. SOC. Rev. and other journals, authorized more than 40 Chinese invention patents, applied for 8 international invention patents, and presided over or completed more than 20 national, provincial land ministerial projects and major enterprise cooperation projects. He has won the Second Prize of National Technological Invention Award, China's 100 Most Influential Academic Papers, the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Zhejiang Province, Outstanding Contribution Award of Youth Science and Technology of China Petrochemical Federation, etc.
