1997年在美国普渡大学可再生资源工程研究室完成博士后课题,1999年任浙江大学教授,2000年任博士生导师。近年来主持完成国家863课题一项、国家科技支撑项目一项、国家自然科学基金项目二项、浙江省自然科学基金重点项目一项。已完成省级科研成果鉴定五项,获省部级科技进步二等奖二项、三等奖一项,获得发明专利四项。近年来在国内外重要学术期刊上发表论文140余篇,其中被SCI、EI收录的论文80余篇。
