Excellent Young Scholars Forum held on Yuquan Campus
On March 29, the " Outstanding Young Scholars Forum of Chemical Engineering of Zhejiang University " was held in the Shao Yifu Science Hall on Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University.Through academic reports, exchanges and discussions, the forum builds an academic exchange platform for young scholars at home and abroad in the field of Chemical Engineering, discusses the frontier of disciplines, collides with academic views, and boosts the construction of faculty team of College of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Zhejiang University(ZJU CBE).ZJU CBE’s academic committee, human resources committee, teachers and students attended the forum.
At the beginning of the forum, Prof. Huabin Xing who is the ZJU CBE’s head addressed the president of the forum. Firstly, Prof. Huabin Xing welcomed the young scholars who participated in the Forum on behalf of ZJU CBE, introduced the basic construction of Chemical Engineering and the faculty resources.He stressed that the College has many national, provincial and ministerial platforms and major regional cooperation platforms as strong backing, providing more development opportunities and innovation power for young talents.
The forum report was hosted by prof. Bogeng Li and prof. Youqing Shen. Seven outstanding young scholars from the United States, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea and Hong Kong, China, made a summary report and outlook on their respective research fields through online video connection. Subsequently, the experts and the reporter had in-depth interaction.
At the end of meeting, Prof. Huabin Xing made a closing speech to the forum. He extended his deep sympathy to the young scholars, fully affirmed their achievements in the report, and expressed his sincere thanks for the arrival of the experts attending the forum.
