(1) Number
including 159 in-service staff, 46 post-doctors, 3 technicians and 49 project contract workers.
(b) In-service staff：159 teaching and research staff (including 105 teaching equals research staff and teaching primarily staff), 17 lab technicians, 16 administrative staff and 4 others.
(2) Full-time teacher
(a) Number: 105teaching equals research staff and teaching primarily staff, including 17 female, accounted for 15.2%.
(b) Professional Title: 70 professors, accounted for 66.7%, 31 associated professors, accounted for 29.5%, and 4 lecturers, accounted for 3.8%.
(3) Part-time teacher
College of Chemical and Biological Engineering has 40 part-time teachers now.
3. Academic Research
(1) Funds
The total research funding in 2019 reached 284 million RMB, with 27.46% longitudinal funds (78 million RMB), and 72.53% latitudinal funds(206 million RMB).

Postdoctoral Research Station: Chemical Engineering and Technology; Bioengineering; Power Engineering and Thermal Physics Engineering (joint program with other departments)
We offer PhD programs in the general area of Chemical Engineering and Technology as well as the following sub-areas: Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemical Process Information Engineering, Power Equipment Information Engineering, and Chemical Engineering Process Equipment.
(2) Ministerial and Provincial-level Research Centers
The college houses three national key laboratories and several research centers: State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering at Zhejiang University, National Laboratory of Secondary Resources Chemical Engineering, National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Industrial Biocatalysis, Key Laboratory of Biomass Chemical Engineering (Zhejiang University), Ministry of Education, Engineering Laboratory for Industrial Biocatalysis of Zhejiang Province, Engineering Research Center of Membrane and Water Treatment Technology(MOE)(joint with the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering).
5. Physical Space
College of Chemical and Biological Engineering owns teaching and research spaces of the NO. 4 Teaching Building, the NO.10 Teaching Building, the Thermodynamic Building, the UNILAB Reaction Building, the Surface Chemistry Building, the Chemical Machinery Building in Yuquan campus, and the Main Teaching Building and the NO.7 Western Building in Xixi campus etc., with a total area of 14 thousand square meters.
